Natural wood watch with date aperture, upcycled by hand from maple & red sandalwood furniture. A two-tone body and band, exhibits the complementary natural colours and grain patterns of the different woods in this vegan watch.

 

Maple & Red Sandalwood

Origins

Maple wood originates from trees native to North America, Europe, and Asia; whilst Red Sandalwood is native to southern India. The perfect partnership for this sustainable watch.

Common uses

Maple woods hardness and durability mean it is commonly used in furniture, flooring, and instruments. Maple’s versatility and widespread availability make it a popular choice for woodworkers and is featured in a number of our wood watches. Whereas, Red Sandalwood has more historical uses in Indian and Chinese cultures including dyes and traditional medicine - alongside more modern woodworking such as furniture, which we upcycle into our vegan watches.

Colours & Wood grain

Hard maple, particularly from North America, is known for its pale colour; whereas Red Sandalwood is renowned for its rich reddish hue, contrasting one another beautifully in this natural watch.
